High school football season opened for the BGHS Purples last Saturday night at our annual Rafferty's Bowl held at Western Kentucky University. Here are our boys taking the field for warmups.
It poured rain; it hailed; it was a pretty miserable weather night all around, but the fella and I were seated underneath the stadium overhang and stayed nice and dry thankfully. I was initially concerned that our players might struggle in those conditions, but they didn't. We left in the third quarter because we had such a lead; the final score was 48-22 in our favor.
As is our custom, the fella snapped this quick selfie of us at the game. Here's to a long and victorious football season ahead! Go Purples!
